We are very conscious that families experiencing the sudden loss of their child have little or no time to say  ‘ Goodbye’ to their loved one.   The longstanding rituals that happen around death and that often provide comfort cannot be performed during the current COVID-19 pandemic as people follow HSE advice and comply with social distancing guidelines. Suddenly bereaved families are feeling the physical and social isolation acutely.
