In 2023, bereaved dad and FirstLight client, Rob, sat down with our Clinical Services Director, Georgia, to speak about the death of his gorgeous daughter, Emily, as part of FirstLight's video project.

Rob was courageous in telling his story of experiencing the death of his daughter, Emily, at seven and a half years old from cancer. Rob speaks about Emily, and the light and joy she brought to her family and the world during her devastatingly short life, as well as her treatment and, ultimately, her tragic death. Rob also speaks about how FirstLight has helped him, and he encourages others who are struggling to seek support.

Rob and Emily's story was featured in the FirstLight promotional video, released at the end of 2023, but we wanted to share with you their full story as a podcast in the hope that hearing Rob speak openly about his experience will help you to feel a little less alone in your grief.
